My name is Peter and somebody gave me the nickname "the no.3". I  was born in the mid sixties and I'm living in "Good Old Germany".

I'm a long time "Die Hard" Dale Earnhardt fan and I observed since the early '90 his powerfull career. At my homepage I will show you my love to "Ironhead", my personal hero.
I'm sorry if I have mistakes with the English language. I'm not perfect in the English language, try however to give my best.

Dale Earnhardt is for me a man like no other man in the world. He was a very great race car driver, a man who could handle every race car that was given to him. For me Dale was and still is simply the best.

Dale Earnhardt was a very friendly person to the fans and the media. He was a very lovely husband and father. And when you looked into his steely eyes, you could see the determination and also that special little smile every time.
I saw him racing for the first time in 1990 on German TV, it was the first time I saw a NASCAR race. It was the Talladega race that he won. This race was incredible. I was banned all the time at the TV screen. From this moment on I watched him every time (if German telev. showed the races).

I've collected books, model cars (I'm a model car builder) and much more memorabilia and stuff about him. And I still do and try to get what I can get. I have learned about him so much in the whole years because I'm not only regarded him as a race car driver. I'm highly regard him as a person!

In 2001, at the
2001 Daytona 500 for me the world stops turning. He dies in a last lap crash at Daytona in turn four. My heart broke this afternoon when I saw the news on NASCAR.com!

Now, years later I still can't understand why he had to go. Was it destiny? Was it determination? I don't know it.
I still love him and I miss him very much. I still watch NASCAR races and sometimes I realize, as I look for him at the racetrack, that I'm searching for the black # 3 car on the screen but I know that he's not coming out of the corner....!

Thank you for the memory's, Dale.

You will never forget.
